Our next planned maintenance event will take place from 7AM-11AM on Monday, November 3, 2014.
We will be doing the following:
**Replacing a drive in sum1-gstore01. We need to bring this storage unit offline to perform this replacement. The following filesystems/data storage areas will be affected:
No data loss is expected.
**Upgrading our core switches in Holyoke to a new code release. This is a recommended action by the switch vendor and should be unnoticeable by users.
**Decommissioning an old system supporting our ticketing system and proxy service. These services will be moved to newer homes. This activity will also prep us to upgrade our ticketing system. You will not be able to submit tickets to RC while we are moving the system.
**Relocating the system that manages our older queuing system, LSF. No jobs can be submitted to LSF while this takes place.
**Rebooting rcnfs12. The following filesystems will be unavailable during this process (which takes 5-10 minutes);
**Rebooting all the RC login nodes. We will rotate through these, each taking 5-10 minutes. You should be able to reach at least one throughout the process, but we strongly recommend you wait until after 11AM.
**Reboot rcnx01. All sessions on this node will be killed during this process. Please make sure your work is backed up.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
