DESCRIPTION:Regular monthly maintenance will take place Monday July 11th, 2022 7-11am\n \nNOTICES\nNew training sessions available - You can find a list and links to sign up here: https://www.rc.fas.harvard.edu/upcoming-training/ ( https://www.rc.fas.harvard.edu/upcoming-training/ )\nIf you have a 2021/2022 publication that made use of the FASRC cluster and you don't find it listed here, please do let us know: https://www.rc.fas.harvard.edu/cluster/publications/ ( https://www.rc.fas.harvard.edu/cluster/publications/ )\n \nGENERAL MAINTENANCE\n\nSlurm 22.05 upgrade\n\nAudience: All cluster users\nJobs will be paused during this upgrade - What this means: Running jobs will continue to run, but job reporting in the scheduler will be paused during the upgrade and new jobs will not start until the upgrade is complete and the scheduler is resumed.\n\n\nOpenOnDemand (VDI/OoD) updates\n\nAudience: VDI/OoD users\nImpact: Jobs will already be paused for Slurm upgrade  and VDI rebooted during maintenance\n\n\nPartitions on old hardware being decommissioned\n\nAudience: Owners of the partitions in question have been contacted and are aware\nImpact: seas_iacs, davis, betley, pierce partitions decommissioned\n\n\nLogin node and VDI node reboots\n\nAudience: Anyone logged into a a login node or VDI/OOD node\nImpact: Login and VDI/OOD nodes will be unavailable while updating and rebooting\n\n\nScratch cleanup ( https://docs.rc.fas.harvard.edu/kb/policy-scratch/ )\n\nAudience: Cluster users\nImpact: Files older than 90 days will be removed.\nReminder: Scratch 90-day file retention purging runs occur regularly not just during maintenance periods.\n\n\n \n\n
