Registration is now open for both Software Carpentry - R (July 22 - 23) and Data Carpentry - Genomics (August 19 - 20). Please see the following pages for more information on the workshops and registration:
Software Carpentry - R: https://rc.fas.harvard.edu/software-carpentry-workshop-july-22-23/
Data Carpentry - Genomics: https://rc.fas.harvard.edu/data-carpentry-genomics-august-19-20/
We have received a few emails asking us about the difference between the workshops:
- Software Carpentry workshops teach researchers basic lab skills for scientific computing: the tools and techniques that will help them get more done in less time, and with less pain. Basic programming, Unix shell, and git are the three core modules.
- Data Carpentry workshops are for any researcher who has data they want to analyze, and no prior computational experience is required. This hands-on workshop teaches basic concepts, skills and tools for working more effectively with data.
We look forward to seeing you at these upcoming events!!
