We will be performing our monthly scheduled maintenance on Monday, March 2nd. This event is rescheduled from February and will, as usual, start at 7AM and conclude at 11AM.
During this time, ***the Odyssey cluster and scratch storage will be unavailable***. We hope to have all services up and running prior to that.
Research Computing will be performing the following tasks:
1) Upgrading the slurm queuing system on Odyssey to fix bugs and add features. See http://slurm.schedmd.com/SC14/Slurm_14.11.pdf
2) Firmware upgrades to RC firewalls to protect our infrastructure and your work, as well as a software update to our primary router in our Holyoke facility.
3) Some network moves to secure additional systems.
4) Moving services from an old, out-of-warranty system to more stable locations; decommissioning the older system.
Please remember that Research Computing is continuing to enforce data retention policies on all of RC's scratch filesystems (regal and holyscratch). All files that have not been modified for the last 90 days will be deleted.
As always, thank you for your anticipated cooperation and patience.
