Please join us for an informative and interactive session on Harvard Chan School + FAS Research Computing. In February 2012, the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and FAS Research Computing signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which allows Harvard Chan School primarily appointed faculty, researchers, staff, and students to access the FAS RC computer cluster (Odyssey) and basic storage, along with software licenses.
Since the signing of the MOU, and as of October 2014, 421 accounts have been created. Utilization of this resource lowers the overall cost of computing, increases efficiency, improves our ability to operate on a large scale, and allows us to maintain a competitive advantage in research.
During this session, attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Gain an overview of the resource and its functionality from the FAS RC leadership and staff, including:
– Computing Resources
– Software
– Storage
– Data Security
– Fee Structure
- Participate in a Q&A with the panelists
- We encourage Faculty, Research Scientists, Research Associates, and Postdocs to attend. The goal of this session is to inform users of the RC resources in order to help our researchers maximize the utility of the robust collaboration the Harvard Chan School has engaged in.
Discussion Panelists:
