BLAST is shorthand for a suite of tools developed at the NCBI and used in
bionformatics for sequence database searching.
The individual tools are as follows:
|blastn||Search a nucleotide database with a nucleotide query|
|blastp||Search a protein database with a protein query|
|blastx||Search a protein database with a translated query|
|tblastn||Search a translated nucleotide database with a protein query|
|tblastx||Search a translated nucleotide database with a translated nucleotide query|
To use BLAST on the Odyssey cluster, load the appropriate module
To access BLAST, you'll first need an account on Odyssey.
Then you'll need to login to the cluster.
be prompted for a password. This is your usual account password (as managed by Active Directory).
If your password is successful, you will be prompted for a verification code. This
must be the current value from the JAuth Java application.
Like other tools on the Odyssey cluster load the appropriate module.
