This seminar highlights the various complimentary and paid storage options offered by FAS Research Computing, discussing the benefits and features of each storage offering with the goal of helping lab members identify an appropriate storage for their project.
Topics will include:
- The benefits and features of FAS Research Computing storage offerings (complimentary and paid)
- How to incorporate the storage options into your group's data storage workflow
- Additional policies and considerations to review before selecting storage (computational needs, data retention requirements, access controls, security levels etc.)
- Recommendations regarding data organization, data security, and backups
- Review available FASRC tools, designed to assist with data storage management (Coldfront and Starfish)
