Getting started on FASRC clusters with Open OnDemand
This training would be focused on intro to HPC and open OnDemand. Ensure that we talk both about Cannon and FASSE to cover for users of both clusters.
Audience: new users that have never used HPC systems and are not familiar with the command line interface
Objectives:
- Learn how to access OOD
- Launch Jupyter, RStudio, Remote Desktop, apps
- RStudio Server
- Install package
- Change directory
- Jupyter Notebook
- Create conda environment
- Remote desktop
- Launch multiple applications from terminal
- Choose compute resources when launching jobs
- Memory, cores
- Partitions
- File systems
